Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes how BULBAG USA (bulbag.com, the "Site", "we", "us") collects, uses and discloses your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from the Site.

Information we collect

Device information. When you visit the Site we collect your browser version, IP address, time zone, cookie information, the pages and products you view, search terms and how you interact with the Site. We collect it automatically through cookies, log files, web beacons, tags and pixels. We use it to load the Site correctly for you and to understand how the Site is used. It is shared with Shopify, which hosts our store, and with Google Analytics and Meta, which provide our analytics and advertising measurement.

Order information. When you buy from us we collect your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number and payment details. Payments are handled by Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal; we never see your full card number. We use this information to fulfil your order, process payment, arrange shipping, send invoices and order confirmations, screen orders for fraud and, where you have agreed, tell you about our products. It is shared with Shopify and with the carriers that deliver your order.

Customer support information. If you contact us by email, phone, the contact form or the chat on the Site, we keep what you send us so we can help you. Chat and contact form messages are handled by Shopify Inbox.

We do not buy marketing lists and we do not collect information about you offline except at shows, where you may give us your email address to hear about new products and show dates.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.

Sharing personal information

We share personal information with the service providers named above so they can run the store, take payment, ship orders and measure our advertising. Shopify's own privacy policy is at shopify.com/legal/privacy. We also share personal information when the law requires it, to respond to a subpoena, warrant or other lawful request, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand how customers use the Site. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy and you can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We use the Meta pixel to measure our Facebook and Instagram advertising and to show our ads to people who have visited the Site. You can adjust those ads at facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads. You can opt out of targeted advertising more generally through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info.

Using personal information

We use your personal information to offer products for sale, process payments, ship your order and, if you have signed up, keep you informed about new products and show dates. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in every message.

Retention

When you place an order we keep your personal information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase it. See "Your rights" below.

Your rights

If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, and to ask that it be corrected or erased. Wherever you live, we will honour those requests. Email pj@bulbag.com with the request and the email address you used with us. If you want someone to make the request on your behalf, contact us the same way.

If you are in the European Economic Area, we process your personal information to perform our contract with you, to meet our legal obligations and for our legitimate interest in running and improving the store. Your information is processed by Shopify and stored in the United States and Canada; Shopify's explanation of how its transfers comply with the GDPR is at help.shopify.com. We do not make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you. Shopify uses limited automated fraud screening, such as temporarily blocking an IP address or card after repeated failed transactions.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of information stored on your device when you visit the Site. We use cookies that are necessary for the store to work (cart, checkout, customer login), cookies for Shopify analytics, and the Google Analytics and Meta cookies described above. Shopify's necessary and analytics cookies include _ab, _secure_session_id, cart, cart_sig, cart_ts, checkout_token, secret, secure_customer_sig, storefront_digest, _shopify_u, _tracking_consent, _landing_page, _orig_referrer, _s, _shopify_s, _shopify_sa_p, _shopify_sa_t, _shopify_y and _y. Session cookies last until you close your browser; persistent cookies expire between 30 minutes and two years after they are set.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them may stop parts of the Site working, and it does not by itself stop the advertising partners above; use the opt-out links in "Analytics and advertising" for that. Because there is no agreed standard for "Do Not Track" signals, we do not change our practices when we receive one.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or operational reasons. The date of the last change is shown below.
